Jerry Cowtan, Skipper of the Coralita, is the Moderator of this community. He has been sailing since 1984, has completed the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron Course and is a member of the Port Elgin Yacht Club, located on the East shore of Lake Huron.
To support his love of cruising, an expensive hobby, Jerry charters his 35' sloop rigged Hughes out of the Port Elgin, Ontario Harbour. Offering sunset sails, island cruises and day trips which include sailing instruction and passenger participation if requested. Each year he cruises for at least one week in the North Channel. His family participates with him in cruising, chartering and club racing.
